This is a food-and-photo blog where I try to capture my own experience of Italy through various recipes and photographs of what I eat and what I see. Me? I'm Swedish but living in Tuscany since 1994.
Interesting… in the UK we say ‘Red sky at night, shepherds delight. Red Sky in the Morning, Shepherds warning’. There is some scientific credence to this which escapes me at the moment.
Great pictures of the sky though.

I love to shoot these types of photos. I live in a similarily beautiful place in the northwest of the United States. It seems right to be documenting all the beauty.

Beautiful! So crisp and clear, I feel like I am there. Did you use the new Fujifilm camera you got for Christmas?
(Also, I did make that orange coconut cake of yours (gluten free) two weeks ago and it was fabulous! I erred with the ricotta topping (too runny as you warned against) so added coconut to it and all was well. My guests absolutely loved it. Oh, I also added some Cointreau to the syrup that I injected into the cake – worked out well as the oranges I purchased did not have enough zing).

Love your sky shots!! One of my favorite subjects. We had a small quake here as well – just a 2 and no damage. Glad yours was the same.

I love skies like this and can never understand when people complain that it’s cloudy. What wonderful photos. I particularly like the one with the big tree in the foreground.

The old saying “Red sky at night sailor’s delight, red sky in the morning, sailor take warning!” …… it’s usually true!
maybe it is true, we just had an earthquake here, no one hurt and no damage fortunately!
