How difficult it is to age, it far more difficult than I ever thought and then I’m not even really really old yet so I find it a bit worrying. But probably I’m in some of those phases and it will all become normal. I don’t know about you but I have a lot of existential questions that keep popping up like, now that I cannot consider myself young anymore, do I have to change the way I dress? Do I really have to adapt to the accepted dress code or am I allowed to go on like I am? Can I buy a pair of pea green Converse that make me happy without appearing as if I am clinging to my lost youth? How do I stop feeling like a 2 1/2 year old, stomping my mental feet when I can’t have it my way? And stop feeling lonely and alienated like a teenager only can feel? Can I continue to drive my car with music blasting on high volume without appearing pathetic? What is old, a state of mind or a calender thing? I know people born old and old people who feel young for ever. I try to live according to the Live and Let Live principle but most people don’t and in order to be accepted in certain circumstances, well in many circumstances, far too many for my liking, you have act your age. But how do I act my age when I feel as if I am all the ages I have passed through, how can I possibly know? I can answer myself , just be yourself but the questions still pop up and demand answers…

MEDITERRANEAN CHICK PEA FRITTERS WITH OLIVES AND SUN DRIED TOMATOES
2-3 servings

200 ml/0.85 cup chick pea flour
200 ml/0.85 water
1-2 sun dried tomatoes
12-15 olives
Salt
Olive oil

– Put the sun dried tomatoes in tepid water to soak and when they have softened a bit you chop them and the olives finely.
– Whisk water and chick pea flour, add some salt and the chopped tomatoes and olives.
– Fry the fritters in olive oil and then put some topping on them like chopped tomatoes and basil, rucola, or some chopped mild onion.
