FRULLATO DI PESCHE, ALBICOCCE E BASILICO or FRULLATO WITH PEACHES, APRICOTS AND FRESH BASIL

forbidden-peach

Yesterday I stole peaches from one of my neighbour’s trees, not many, only three but that was because I couldn’t find anymore of them. I think I actually did them a favour because the other peaches had already fallen off the tree with a splash so I actually saved these three from this horrible fate! Instead they have been thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by me and that must be a much better way to end one’s life, don’t you think? Our own peach tree died this spring when another neighbour of ours helped us to remove a tree that grew next to it and we have been really sad because of this because it gave us the most wonderful white peaches. Succulent and sweet. So you can imagine our joy when Marco discovered that there was one little green sprout on it that has grown quite big now. Sometimes it’s good to be lazy and wait with doing things because if I had cut it down immediately we would have lost it! So go on being lazy, it pays off! Almost always and above all, if you wait before doing things, you feel so much better when you finally get around to do them than if you did them straight off when it was still easy and you didn’t feel guilty about not doing them. Believe me, I know.
