SPAGHETTI COL TONNO or SPAGHETTI WITH FRESH TUNA
Fresh tuna fish always attracts me, when I see it laying there in a shop, I feel the urge to buy it and rush home to my kitchen where I can cook it. It is something about the way the raw tuna meat looks that draws me, maybe that is why I like sushi and sashimi so much! So when I happened upon it the other day, I bought some and happily went home to make spaghetti col tonno for the whole family because this is one of the relatively few dishes that meets with approval by all the five of us.
SPAGHETTI COL TONNO – SPAGHETTI WITH FRESH TUNA

500 g/ 17,6 oz fresh tuna fish
4-5 ripe tomatoes
1 clove of garlic
1-1 tblsp chopped parsley
100 ml/ 0,42 cup white wine
1 peperoncino if you want it a bit hot
– Fry the chopped garlic gently in some olive oil together with 1 tblsp parsley (add the peperoncino if you want that), after 4-5 minutes add the wine and let it simmer for another 4-5 minutes.
– Add the chopped or sliced tomatoes, salt it and then let it simmer for 10 minutes.
– Cut the fish into cubes and put them into the pan. Add salt and go on frying, stirring all the time, until the tuna is cooked.
– Sprinkle the remaining parsley over it and add the cooked pasta.
– Serve it hot.
