This dessert has just the right autumn feeling, it’s rich and warm!
MELE ALLA CANNELLA CON CREMA DI ROBIOLA or CINNAMON APPLES WITH ROBIOLA CREAM
4 servings
2 apples
100 ml/0,42 cup brown sugar
1-2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tblsp butter
4 tblsp Marsala or sherry
150 g/5,3 oz robiola cheese and if you cannot find it you can use Philadelphia cheese which doesn’t taste that different.
1 egg yolk
The grated peel of one lemon
- Whip the egg yolk and half of the the sugar lightly and mix it with the soft cheese and the grated lemon peel. Put it in the fridge to get cold while you prepare the apples.
- Peel the apples and cut them into pieces. Melt the butter in a frying pan, put in the apple pieces and add the cinnamon and the rest of the sugar. Stir and pour the Marsala into the pan. Let it fry gently until the apples are soft and the sauce is a bit fudge like
- Put the apple and the sauce on plates and put the robiola cream over it. Eat!
